Share dates, arrival and departure details, group size and any hotel, cruise, rail or flight anchors. We will confirm the right fjord format before the route is fixed.
Sending a request does not confirm a booking or take payment. We check availability first and send the full route, price and booking terms before you decide.
What is included
- Private guide on the agreed guided days.
- Route planning around arrival, fjord day and departure.
- Start and finish at the agreed points.
Travel and overnight logic
- Hotel nights, rail, boat, ferry and vehicle choices are placed around the guided days.
- Luggage and return timing stay visible when the final route is confirmed.
PAID SEPARATELY
What the route price leaves out
- Hotels, admissions, rail, boats, ferries and transport are stated separately when needed.
- Meals and personal expenses are paid separately unless the tour price explicitly includes them.
WHY THIS ROUTE WORKS
A realistic fjord itinerary
- The route gives Bergen arrival and departure days their own purpose instead of treating both as empty transfers.
- The fjord day remains strong because road, weather, rail and boat choices are checked against the dates.
- The itinerary can finish at a hotel, station, airport or cruise pier without breaking the day.
For a single day, pick the fjord that suits it: Hardangerfjord for a road-and-waterfall run, or Sognefjord, Nærøyfjord and Flåm when the cruise and railway times line up with your dates. The three-day package is for when arrival and departure also have to work as part of the route — not just the fjord in the middle.
If three days is more than this trip allows, the shorter Oslofjord and one-day options are measured against this route.
DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Three days with the travel placed deliberately
Each day has a distinct purpose. The fjord format follows the season and the available road, rail and boat connections instead of a fixed checklist.
Day 1: Bergen arrival, Bryggen and harbor orientation
Meet at the hotel, pier, station or another agreed point. The first day uses the actual arrival time for Bryggen, the harbor and a calm orientation rather than trying to squeeze in a full fjord route.
Overnight: Bergen.
Day 2: A full fjord day chosen for the actual travel window
Hardangerfjord, waterfalls, orchards and Voringfossen make the default private road day. A Sognefjord, Flam, rail or boat version is used only when seasonal operation and ticket timing make it a better route.
Overnight: Bergen or an agreed fjord base.
Day 3: Bergen from above, then the right departure finish
Floyen or Ulriken is placed around clouds, wind and departure time. The final route ends at the hotel, station, airport or cruise pier with luggage and timing already considered.
Finish: Bergen departure point agreed in advance.

FJORD PLANNING QUESTIONS
Before you choose the dates
These points keep a three-day Norway trip useful instead of forcing the fjord day into the wrong weather, transport or departure window.
Which fjord is included on Day 2?
The fjord day is chosen after the dates, road conditions, rail and boat timetables, group pace and return point are known. Hardanger is often the clearest road-day choice from Bergen.
Can we use rail or a boat instead of a private vehicle?
Yes, when the timetable improves the day rather than turning it into a sequence of risky connections. Tickets and transport are named separately in the plan.
Are hotels, transport and admissions included?
The guided days and agreed route are listed first. Hotels, vehicles, rail, boats, ferries and admissions are listed as included or separate line items before confirmation.
Can this work around a cruise or a flight?
Yes. Share the pier, airport, hotel or rail timing first. The final Bergen day is then shaped around the fixed departure rather than guessed.
What should I send with the request?
Dates, group size, arrival and departure details, fixed bookings and the style of fjord day you prefer are enough to start.
