What is included

  • Private guide on the agreed guided days.
  • Route planning around arrivals, border crossings and departure.
  • Start and finish at the agreed points.

Travel and overnight logic

  • Hotel nights, rail, ferry and vehicle choices are placed around the capital days.
  • Luggage and border timing stay visible when the final route is confirmed.

PAID SEPARATELY

What the route price leaves out

  • Hotels, admissions, rail, boats, ferries and transport are stated separately when needed.
  • Meals and personal expenses are paid separately unless the tour price explicitly includes them.

WHY THIS ROUTE WORKS

A connected Baltic itinerary

  • Each city has a distinct role instead of being reduced to a transfer stop.
  • The route keeps Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius connected without inventing rushed half-days.
  • The final day can finish at a hotel, station or airport without breaking the Trakai visit.

This is the route for when the three cities are already decided and each earns its own day — Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius. Open it up to Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen or Oslo and it becomes a different trip: the Nordic & Baltic Capitals private tour builds that one to order.

DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Five days with the transfers in the right places

Each capital gets enough time for its own character. The road or rail transfers sit between the city days instead of taking over them.

Day 1: Arrive in Tallinn and walk the Old Town at a sane pace

Meet at the hotel, ferry terminal, airport or another agreed point. The first day uses the actual arrival time for Old Town lanes, Town Hall Square and a calm orientation rather than forcing a full city checklist.

Overnight: Tallinn.

Day 2: Tallinn viewpoints, upper town and transfer rhythm

Build the day around Toompea, the lower town and the views that suit the season. The southbound transfer is placed after the city time, with luggage and the next hotel already considered.

Overnight: Riga or Tallinn when the travel plan needs it.

Day 3: Riga Old Town, Central Market and Art Nouveau streets

Riga gets a full city role: Old Town texture, market life and the Art Nouveau district, paced around the actual arrival and hotel location.

Overnight: Riga.

Day 4: Vilnius Old Town, courtyards and viewpoints

Continue south for Vilnius streets, courtyards and the city viewpoints. The route is shaped around the real transfer, hotel position and walking pace.

Overnight: Vilnius.

Day 5: Trakai Island Castle and the departure finish

Use the final day for Trakai Island Castle and its lake setting when the departure window allows it. The route then ends at the agreed hotel, station or airport without treating the final transfer as an afterthought.

Finish: Vilnius departure point agreed in advance.

PLANNING QUESTIONS

Before you choose the dates

These answers keep a five-day Baltic route realistic around arrivals, transfers, hotel changes and the pace you want in each capital.

Can the route start in Riga or Vilnius instead?

Yes. The sequence can reverse when flights, ferries, rail timing or hotel nights make that the cleaner choice. Share the fixed travel points first.

How are the between-city transfers arranged?

Road, rail, ferry or flight timing is chosen for the actual dates and group. The suitable connection is listed before booking rather than assumed.

Are hotels, transport and admissions included?

The guided days and agreed route are listed first. Hotels, vehicles, rail, ferries, flights and admissions are listed as included or separate line items before confirmation.

Can we add more time in one capital?

Yes. A longer Tallinn, Riga or Vilnius stay can be added when it improves the route. The five-day version protects the essential city days first.

What should I send with the request?

Dates, group size, arrival and departure details, fixed bookings and any preferred capital sequence are enough to start.
