Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how the Fjord & Baltic website uses cookies and similar technologies. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. The website may also use local storage, Google tags and server logs to operate securely, remember your choices and measure how the site leads to enquiries.
Essential and preference cookies
WordPress, Gravity Forms, hosting and security services may use essential technologies needed for page delivery, form handling and protection against misuse. These functions are not switched off by the measurement choice.
After you select No thanks or Allow measurement, the site stores a first-party preference cookie named fb_measurement_consent for 180 days. It records only whether measurement was allowed or declined; it does not contain your name, email address or form message.
Google Analytics 4
The website uses Google Analytics 4 through the Google tag, with measurement ID G-1YL2GX1HRF. It helps us understand which pages are used, broad device and browser information, approximate location and whether an enquiry was confirmed.
Before you choose, or after No thanks
Google Consent Mode v2 starts with analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation set to denied. In this state, the Google tag may send limited cookieless pings to Google, including consent state and basic request or browser context. It does not read or write Google Analytics or advertising cookies, and advertising-data redaction is enabled. The denied state remains if you select No thanks.
After Allow measurement
If you select Allow measurement, analytics storage, advertising storage and advertising user data are allowed for measurement. Advertising personalisation remains denied. Google Analytics may then set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google lists a default lifetime of up to two years for these cookies, subject to browser limits.
Enquiry and advertising measurement
After a request form is confirmed, the site sends a generate_lead event to Google Analytics with the form ID, confirmation source and page path. Our measurement code does not send the name, email address, phone number, travel details or message entered in the form.
The Analytics lead event may be imported into Google Ads after the accounts are linked. The site does not currently run a separate Google Ads conversion tag, and it does not allow personalised advertising.
Third-party processing
Google processes Analytics and consent-mode data under its own terms and privacy practices. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google's explanation of Consent Mode.
Changing your choice
After making a choice, use the Privacy choices control in the lower-left corner of the website to reopen the panel. Selecting No thanks changes the Google consent state to denied and removes Google Analytics cookies that the site can access. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect forms, security checks or page functions.
Updates
We may update this policy when the website, analytics, advertising, forms or consent tools change. The date at the top shows the latest published version.
